FAFCO hybrid ice storage - the construction:

Thanks to extremely compact construction and modular design, the possibilities for fitting FAFCO hybrid ice banks are practically unlimited - both in new installations and in renovation projects or extension of existing refrigeration systems. Because of the cubical shape, the available space used is optimized. Where the footprint is restricted, equipment heights of up to 4.20m are possible. Refrigeration energy of around 250 kWh per square meter of footprint can be stored.

FAFCO hybrid ice banks are either delivered completely, ready to install, or assembled on-site from individual components. Larger storage systems are mostly fitted in concrete enclosures constructed on-site, or in existing tanks. The high degree of flexibility in the dimensions of the heat-exchangers also allows the conversion of existing ice banks.
